I was born, raised and still live in San Francisco. I make my home in the Sunset with my wife, Sharon.

I'm an advertising art director, writer and sometime illustrator. Some of my past clients include Microsoft, Amazon.com, Levi Strauss, Sega, LucasArts, Bank of America, Cartoon Network, sfgate.com, Safeway, Cost Plus and Coors. I started my career at Ketchum Advertising. I've worked for Chiat/Day, McCann-Erickson and Anderson & Lembke. I'm currently working for "The Man" at Foote, Cone & Belding.

My work has been recognised by the One Show, British D&AD, The Addys, The Effies, The Tellys, The Clios, Adweek, Advertising Age and others.

I've had my own site since 1996, when I started the webzine, The Laughing Drunk, which folded in 2002. I originally used Adobe PageMill(!), but soon switched over to Dreamweaver. Most of the graphics were created in Illustrator and imported into Photoshop. The entire site was created on a PowerBookG4.

This particular blog began in July 2002. I relaunched it with a new design in January 2004. I messed with it a bit more in March 2004 to get what you see here. You may notice that the older links still feature the previous design. I rationalize it by saying it's intentional. Seeing the old pages will be like peeling off old wallpaper and determining what the designer was into at that point in history.

I've become much more interested in photography with the advent of the digital age and now shoot with three different cameras. I also plan on putting some of my sketches in the illustration section. Hopefully I'll start painting again soon.

Some of my preoccupations are collecting Spider-man stuff, comic art, watching movies and politics, specifically removing George W. Bush from office.
