I was born, raised and still live in San Francisco. I make my home in the Sunset with my wife, Sharon.

I'm an advertising art director, writer and sometime illustrator. Some of my past clients include Microsoft, Taco Bell, Amazon.com, Levi Strauss, Sega, LucasArts, Bank of America, Cartoon Network, sfgate.com, Safeway, Cost Plus and Coors. I started my career at Ketchum Advertising. I've worked for Chiat/Day, McCann-Erickson and Anderson & Lembke. I'm currently working for "The Man" at Foote, Cone & Belding.

My work has been recognised by the One Show, British D&AD, The Addys, The Effies, The Tellys, The Clios, Adweek, Advertising Age and others.

I've had my own site since 1996, when I started the webzine, The Laughing Drunk, which ended in 2002. I originally used Adobe PageMill(!), but soon switched over to Dreamweaver. Most of the graphics were created in Illustrator and imported into Photoshop. The entire site was created on a PowerBookG4.

This particular blog began in July 2002. It's been redesigned and tweaked several times since then. The current look was put into rotation in January 2005. You may notice that the older links still feature previous designs. It's intentional. Seeing the old pages will be like peeling off old wallpaper, counting tree rings; determining what the designer was into at that point in history.

I've started the photography section in 2003 in hopes of posting more pictures, but I've been slacking in that area. I will still post pictures in the main blog and add them to the photo section as I go. The illustration section is also woefully unmaintained. I will update when I get off my damn ass.

Some of my preoccupations are collecting Spider-man stuff, comic art, movies and politics.
