Sayonnara Santorum et al.

Sayonnara Santorum

You know, the GOP is quick to point fingers and talk about which Dem did what and what position they might or might not be taking. But you know what? The Dems fought long and hard to make the progress we made two weeks ago. We weren't even able to enjoy our victory for a day before the right-wing slander machine started it's attacks.

So, I say to all the Dems on this list, let's take a moment to enjoy our victory. WE TOTALLY KICKED THEIR ASSES!!! HAHAHAHA!

We didn't just gain a small majority overall, we murdered them. Not a single Dem incumbent that I know of lost. Not one. Bush and rove were humiliated... both of them thought they had it in the bag. they were boastful. Yes, BOASTFUL.

So we should take a moment, not to rub their faces in it (well, maybe a little), but just to enjoy our MANDATE. Yeah, I said it: MANDATE.

And to paraphrase the prez: we've got the political capital and we intend to use it.

Familiar rapist

Catching up on posts while I can. Via Defamer:

Is Channel 7's Eyewitness news anchor Marc Brown just being paranoid, or has he been getting funny looks around the studio's donut table all day?

Had Enough?

Saw this AP headline on Yahoo yesterday:
"Bush challenges Democrats to offer plan for Iraq"

The Dems should strike back with this:
"Democrats challenge Bush to offer plan for Iraq"

I mean, what is his plan in Iraq? Has anyone heard him articulate it? Yeah, yeah... victory, I know. but how does he define victory and how long does he think it will take?

Anyone?

Seriously, I'm not posing a rhetorical question here. Will anyone who supports Bush or his position PLEASE explain to me what that position is? First it was "stay the course". Now Bush claims he's never been about staying the course, nevermind that he's on record as using that phrase at least 8 times.

What is Bush's plan for Iraq!?!

There have been 12 troop deaths in Iraq in November.
It's the fourth day in November.

2827 dead American soldiers. Still no WMD.

Mission not accomplished.
Bush reaffirmed his faith in Rumsfeld this week.
"Stay the course."
No exit strategy.

How will you vote November 7th?

Papa Zao

Via Salon:

Kevin Federline on why he wants to go to Africa: "I think it's a place where you can go and really, really help people and make a difference. And it's also a place I want to see -- I'm into the safari animals and all that stuff. I grew up watching the Discovery Channel."

I'm still alive

What the Hell happened to me? Well, I've been a bit slammed of late. You see, I just had my first kid.

Frank Lim.

I wanted a name related to comic book creators. I wanted an old school name: Jack, Frank, Joe, John. My wife wanted names that sounded more like they belonged to soap opera characters: Cole, Christian, stuff like that.

So I let her make a list for my to choose from. I picked two names from the list: William and Jonathan. I figured William could be Billy, Will, Bill, etc. And jonathan would get me to John, Johnny, Jack. She looked at the two choices and in the end decided she prefered Frank.

I won.

Wait till I tell him that he's named after Frank Miller, author of some of the most violent graphic novels ever created: Sin City, 300 and the Dark Knight Returns.
